Manipur, Aug. 17 -- The 73rd Independence Day of India was observed with vigour despite heavy showers of rain at the mud-spattered Brig. M. Thomas Ground located at Kangpokpi district headquarters.
The celebration, the third of its kind for the people of Kangpokpi after attaining districthood in 2016 began impressively with DC, LalithambigaiKalidas, who attended the occasion as chief guest. He also acted as the Guard of Honour of the March Pass parade held on the occasion.
