Manipur, May 8 -- The Indian Council of Agricultural Research's (ICAR) Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) on Tuesday celebrated its Golden Jubilee, commemorating 50 years of dedicated service in agricultural development.

Established in 1974, ICAR-KVK has been at the forefront of agricultural innovation, research, and extension services, catering to the diverse agricultural needs of farmers across the region, stated a release.

It mentioned that the celebratory event witnessed a symbolic torch handover from senior scientist and head of KVK Imphal West Laishram Kanta Singh, to senior scientist and head of KVK Ukhrul S Khogen Singh.
