IMPHAL, June 26 -- All Manipur Progressive Farmers Association (AMPFA) has appealed the state government to stop its policy of allegedly denying fertiliser facilities to farmers without their own land record until a concrete policy for landless farmers is formulated.
The association while warning of taking up agitations if the said fertilisers policy is not changed within June 30, also appealed the state government to check the sale of fertilisers in different private outlets sold at a price higher than the maximum retail price. It also condemned the act of different ministers for allegedly involved in owning quota for fertilisers.
