TAMENGLONG, Aug. 15 -- Enraged women disrupted the seat allotment process for Rani Gaidinliu Women Market Tamenglong which was held at the premises of Small Town Committee, ADC Tamenglong on August 13.
As per instructions from the State government in regard to the functioning of the Market by August 15, the District Administration Tamenglong had attempted to allot seats to all registered vegetables vendors. However, just before officials started drawing seats through lottery process, a group of women (along with some males) came and disrupted it. They enquired, "Why the seats were allotted on registered vendors only?"
