Manipur, Feb. 16 -- Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) on Sunday conducted first-hand spot inquiry at Kangpokpi Police Station in connection with the custodial death case of a Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) cadre on January 28.

A team led by MHRC acting chairperson Khaidem Mani and official staff conducted the spot inquiry coordinated by P Kiran Kumar, Kangpokpi additional SP (LO). The acting chairperson inspected Kangpokpi police station's custody (lock-up) and inquired about the incident.

Later, MHRC acting chairperson told the media that the visit was made to take up necessary steps. Khaidem Mani informed that he has seen the lock-up where the KRA cadre was found hanging.
