Manipur, Oct. 15 -- Chief minister, N. Biren today inaugurated the neurosurgery ward at the state run Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Porompat. He also laid the foundation stone for the construction of an 18- bedded private ward in the hospital.

In his address as chief guest, Biren pointed out that the poor and needy Neuro-patients, who are unable to afford treatment at private hospitals but are in urgent need, will benefit from the newly inaugurated neurosurgery ward.

The newly inaugurated neurosurgery ward has two ICU beds, five beds for male patients and five beds for female patients.

He said that the government is putting continuous efforts to improve healthcare facilities in the State. "Just as little drops...
