Manipur, April 19 -- Chief minister, N. Biren Singh has extended condolences over the demise of Ningthoujam Basanti Devi who breathed her last at the age of 55 years while preparing to exercise her adult franchise at 32/37 Waithou L.P School Polling Station located at Waithou Bazaar today.
A statement from the CM also expressed condolences over the deaths of Yengkhom Nungshitombi, 53, of Kakching Wairi, Kakching district, Chinkholhai, 50, and Nemdon,74, of K Salemjang village, Churachandpur district who met their demises during the recent violent storms that swept the State on April 15.
"I convey my sympathy to the bereaved families and pray for eternal peace to the departed souls," the statement added.
