Manipur, April 25 -- The DEO/DC of Churachandpur, Shyam Lal Poonia has denounced the claims made by my polling personnel of the district regarding the manipulation of honorariums for training conducted prior to the recently held Lok Sabha elections as baseless.
Speaking to a group of media personnel, the DEO stated that honorariums for polling personnel of other districtswere handed out for only two days with some districts yet to deliver the honorariums. "It was due to vested interests that led to yesterday's issue where the polling personnel had alleged that he had pocketed their share of honorariums while also accusing me of violating ECI norms," he said.
