Rape accused, Naorem Bisembhor has been remanded to 15-day judicial custody after he was produced in the court today in front of special judge (POCSO), Thoubal, Th.Simon.
Following a plea from the Investigating Officer(IO) of the case for further investigations, Naorem Bisembor, 57, son of (late) Ibothem of Tentha Khunjao Naorem Leikai, the court ordered the judicial remand.
The statement forwarded by the IO to the judge made special mention that Bisembhor had reported raped his 12 year-old niece at 2:00 pm of July 31 and that he had also allegedly committed the same act in the past with the minor victim.
