Manipur, June 27 -- Adhakshya of Sekmaijin zilla parishad and member of Ward No II, Sekmaijin Mayai Leikai, Phuritshabam Jiten misappropriated public funds under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) for construction of a public pond at Sekmaijin Mayai Leikai, alleged some locals and job card holders of the locality today.
The job card holders reportedly moved the High Court of Manipur on Tuesday pertaining to jeopardising of the welfare scheme with the alleged misappropriation of funds by the implementing agency.
