Manipur, April 9 -- The 1stPhantu Volleyball Tournament, organised by Lambung Youth and Cultural Club, kicked off on Monday at the LP School Ground, Lambung in Chandel district.

Organised under the theme "Identity for Peace and Integrity", the Inter Anal Village Level tournament saw the participation of over 40 teams in three categories, viz. Men, Women and Veterans.

In the first Men's match, Chandel Christian Youth Club (CCYC) defeated Chandel Khullel by 3-0 sets in a best of five match with the score cards reading 25-16, 25-20 and 26-24. In the Men's Veteran match, Lamphoupasna also defeated Phiran Khullen by 3 sets to none in a best of five with the scores reading 27-25, 25-23 and 25-15.
