Manipur, April 22 -- Justice, Kh Nobin, High Court of Manipur has quashed and set aside the notification order for the inclusion of Kwamana (beetle leaves) among forest products.
The order to include beetle leaves as forest products had been released by the additional chief secretary, under secretary and joint secretary of the department of Forest and Environment on different dates.
The order of the High court was passed on April 10 in connection with different writ petitions which were filed challenging the notification for the inclusion of Betel leaf as forest products by the department of Forest and Environment, Government of Manipur.
