Purnea/ Bettiah, Nov. 8 -- Union home minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda , Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and other NDA leaders addressed several rallies in Bihar on Friday where they hit out at INDIA bloc accusing the opposition of patronising ' infiltrators' and trying to bring back 'Jungle Raj' in Bihar. Amit Shah while addressing rallies in Jamui and Bhagalpur predicted a big win for NDA and cautioned the people against committing any mistake while pushing the button of EVMs. "Your one mistake may push Bihar once again into a mess as it was 20 years ago," Shah said while citing the NDA's commitment to wipe out red terror from this land. Naxalism is finished completely and development has already replaced it. "Earlier voting was to be held till 3 pm and now it is held till 5 pm" he said declaring it a sign of development. "Now there is no fear and Chormara village situated on Munger-Jamui border is free from red terror." Reminding the people of Lalu -Rabri regime, Shah said, "Ransom and kidnapping were rampant and several factories and industries had to be closed down that pushed the state into the abyss of poverty." He said, "That was the age of massacre and nobody was safe." Cautioning the people, he said, "Your vote is decisive to give a mandate for development," adding, the NDA was committed to bring a permanent solution to perennial floods. Shah addressed two rallies in Bhagalpur and one in Jamui and in the evening he held a road show in Purnea. CM Nitish Kumar on Friday thanked PM Modi for support to Bihar during a rally in East Champaran. "Apart from the work of the state, Bihar is progressing a lot with the cooperation of the central government," said Kumar, while addressing a rally at Paharpur in East Champaran, while seeking votes for Lok Janshakti Party (RV) Raju Tiwari on Govindganj seat. Kumar heaped scorn on the pre-2005 era marked by the rule of RJD in the state."Those who were at the helm of affairs before us preferred nothing for the state. The anarchy and lawlessness has come to such a sorry pass that people preferred to not to venture out after dusk gets settled...," he said referring to RJD with whose support he formed his government twice. CM Kumar addressed four rallies at Harnatand and Mainatand in West Champaran, besides Paharpur and Kesariya in East Champaran, seeking votes in support of NDA candidates. He also spoke about jeevika Didis, 35 per cent reservation to women in police, appointment of a over 2.50 lakh government teachers and said his government stressed on the need of women's empowerment and ensured 50 per cent reservation to women in Panchayti Raj institutions (PRIs) and urban local bodies (ULBs) way back in 2006. Yogi Adityanath exhorted the masses to impede the RJD-led mahagathbandhan's bid to return to power for the development of Bihar during a rally in East Champaran. "The lantern is nothing but a sort of certificate to indulge in dacoity. These are the same people who started the caste conflict in Bihar in dim light of lantern. They are the same people who used to steal kerosene, gobbled up fodder of animals and now they are desperate to lay hands on your ration," said Yogi at a rally in Raxaul, while seeking vote for Pramod Sinha of BJP. BJP national president JP Nadda addressed rallies in Govindganj and Kalyanpur in East Champaran where he underlined how the NDA government in Bihar and at the Centre had ushered in development in all spheres, be it in road sector, infrastructure, railways, medicare, and power....
