DARBHANGA, May 14 -- A 38-year-old woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her residence in Balbhadrapur locality under Laheriasarai police station area of Darbhanga on Monday, police said. The deceased, identified as Preeti Jha, who was found lying on her bed in her bedroom, was initially suspected to be a case of suicide, according to the police. The incident, however, took a serious turn after the deceased woman's father, Amarnath Jha, a native of Kaligaon village, under Singhwara police station, lodged a formal complaint with police, alleging that his daughter was murdered by her husband, Santosh Jha. The body has been sent to DMCH for post-mortem, and a forensic team was summoned to collect evidence from the scene. Meanwhile, a first information report has been filed in this connection....
