BETTIAH, May 12 -- A joint team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Motihari police arrested Khalistani separatist Kashmir Singh Galwaddi alias Balbir Singh who carried a reward of Rs.10 lakh on his head from a place in Bihar's East Champaran district, police said on Sunday. Giving the information, East Champaran's superintendent of police (SP) Swarn Prabhat on Sunday evening said, "The Khalistani terrorist Kashmir Singh's arrest was made from a place in town police station area of Motihari in a joint operation by the NIA and Motihari police." A resident of Galwaddi in Ludhiana district of Punjab, the Khalistani terrorist was absconding and wanted in National Investigation Agency regular case no 37/2022/NIA/DLI, dared August 28, 2022 ( Terrorist Activities of Proscribed Trrrorist Organization in various parts of the country, reads a statement issued by NIA. He has been accused of promoting terrorist activities in various parts of the country, officials said.
