PATNA, Jan. 6 -- Police on Monday arrested two persons after a video showing a man assaulting another while taking the name of deputy chief minister and home minister Samrat Choudhary went viral on social media. The incident reportedly took place at Vishal Mega Mart mall in the Kankarbagh area on December 31. The video surfaced on social media on Sunday, police said. In the video, a man wearing a blazer is seen slapping and verbally abusing another man, who was allegedly taking the name of Samrat Choudhary during the assault. The accused is heard making remarks referring to the deputy chief minister, a police officer said. After the video gained traction on social media and drew attention due to the reference to the deputy chief minister, Patna police took cognisance of the matter and arrested both persons involved, police said.
