Violent clashes erupt at several places during phase-2 polling
PATNA, Nov. 12 -- Amid second phase of elections in Bihar, reports of violence, clashes and recovery of cash were reported across the twenty districts.
At Barbigha of Warisaliganj constituency, a violent clash broke out between Jan Suraaj supporters and BJP workers leaving a car damaged.
In Bagodar village of Hisua assembly constituency in Nawada district, a clash broke out between BJP candidate Anil Singh, Congress leader Jeetu Singh, and local villagers over the voting process. The incident created a tense situation in the village. The local administration arrived at the scene promptly and restored peace.
In another incident, a case of violation of the model code of conduct was registered against JD(U) polling agent Gautam Kumar for allegedly distributing pamphlets of his party candidate inside polling booth number 270 in Runnisaidpur of Sitamarhi district during voting.
