union Minister Pradhan to be chief guest at IIT convocation
PATNA, Aug. 25 -- Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be the chief guest at the 12th convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna to be held on its campus on Tuesday, according to a press release issued here on Sunday.
A record 1,320 students will be conferred degrees this year, making it the largest convocation in IIT Patna's history, marking a significant milestone in the institute's journey and reflecting its rapid growth and academic excellence, said the release.
Sharing details of the function, Prof. TN Singh, director of IIT Patna, said Nityanand Rai, minister of state for home affairs, will be the guest of honour and BR Shankaranand, national organising secretary of the Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, will be the distinguished guest at the event....
