Dehradun, Nov. 12 -- The Uttarakhand government will document and study all suggestions, feedback, and experiences shared during the state's month-long Silver Jubilee celebrations to help shape a comprehensive 25-year development roadmap. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the initiative aims to integrate public participation, expert inputs, and visionary guidance from the Prime Minister into long-term state planning. Chairing a public interaction at his camp office on Tuesday, Dhami said that the state's Silver Jubilee year marks not just a celebration of achievements but also an opportunity for reflection and dialogue. "This is a time for collective participation in policy-making. Suggestions and demands received from the people will guide our future development path. Our effort is to ensure that every citizen directly benefits from government schemes quickly and effectively," the chief minister said. Dhami interacted with people from across the state, heard their grievances, and directed officials to ensure prompt action and regular follow-ups. He instructed departments to strengthen their feedback mechanisms and adopt a proactive, transparent approach in grievance redressal. "The ultimate goal of every government policy and decision is public welfare and the overall development of the state. We must ensure that our administrative systems are accessible, responsive, and people-centric," he added. Following the conclusion of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, chief secretary Anand Bardhan also held a review meeting on Monday evening here to discuss the key takeaways from the month-long events and the Prime Minister's address during the 25th State Foundation Day celebrations. Bardhan directed all departments to document the feedback, suggestions, and experiences gathered during major events such as the Pravasi Uttarakhand Sammelan, Youth Conference, Cultural Festivals, and high-level visits by the President and Prime Minister. He also instructed the Protocol Department to compile all suggestions and prepare a consolidated list. "The points suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the integrated development of Uttarakhand should be carefully documented and incorporated into the state's policy and planning framework," Bardhan said. He said the Prime Minister, during his address, had called for transforming Uttarakhand into the spiritual capital of the world, with a global network of yoga, ayurveda, and naturopathy centers, along with homestays and local tourism hubs in every assembly constituency. He also suggested developing campaigns such as 'One District, One Fair' to promote Uttarakhand's local fairs and cultural heritage internationally. Emphasizing self-reliant hill economies, the Prime Minister in his address urged the state to develop its hill districts into horticulture hubs with future-oriented crops like blueberries, kiwi, and medicinal plants, and to strengthen MSMEs involved in food processing, handicrafts, and organic products. He also called for the creation of five to seven major tourism clusters that could comprehensively integrate pilgrimage, eco-tourism, and adventure tourism in the region, while positioning Uttarakhand as an emerging wedding destination for planners. The Prime Minister further suggested expanding the reach of GI-tagged agricultural products and enhancing their competitiveness under the 'House of Himalayas' brand. The chief secretary said that the documentation of these insights would serve as a key input in preparing a strategic 25-year roadmap for Uttarakhand's integrated and sustainable development....
