PATNA, July 9 -- In a first in Bihar, a two-day state-level health fair will be organised at the Gyan Bhawan in Patna on July 11 and 12, said a press release from Bihar health minister Mangal Pandey's office on Tuesday. Separate counters of all major branches of medicine like allopathy, ayurveda, homeopathy, Unani, yoga will be set up. As many as 50 outdoor patient department (OPD) counters of different disciplines will be available during the two-day health camp, said the release. Around 20 free medicine distribution counters will also be set up at the health fair, where medicines prescribed by doctors will be made available to the patients free of cost. A facility for human papillomavirus vaccination (HPV), a preventive measure for cancer of the cervix, will also be available especially for girl students, said the press release.
