PATNA, Jan. 7 -- In two separate incidents, two policemen, including a sub-inspector, were arrested on charges of consuming liquor in the last 24 hours.

Reports from Motihari said a sub-inspector, identified as Munna Singh, who posted at Muffasil police station, was allegedly found in an inebriated condition at his own police station. He was arrested and sent to 14-day police custody. Police also recovered a bottle of Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) from Singh's room.

In another incident, Shailendra Pandey, munshi at Hasanganj police station of Katihar district, was arrested late Sunday night after being found in an inebriated condition while on duty.
