MADHUBANI, May 30 -- Security personnel of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) stationed at Pipraun check post along the Indo-Nepal border in Madhubani district apprehended two Chinese nationals on Wednesday evening for allegedly taking photographs and videos of the Indian side without valid travel documents. According to SI Bhupesh of 48th Battalion, SSB, the incident occurred around 3-4 pm on Wednesday, when the two were spotted standing on the Nepalese side filming the Indian territory. Despite being asked to stop and show their mobile phones, the duo seemed unable to understand the instructions. According to officials, the two were intercepted near Pillar 284/35 while attempting to cross the border without proper authorisation. They could barely understand English or Hindi making their questioning difficult. Upon preliminary questioning, they revealed their identities as Chinese nationals - Wu Hailong (38) from Dalian in Liaoning province, and Sheng Jun Yong (30), from Xiuning in Anhui province. When asked for valid travel documents, they failed to produce any. They claimed to have entered Nepal through Janakpur and said their documents were kept at hotel in Janakpur. The security personnel recovered three mobile phones, power banks, charger cable, some Nepalese currency (12,415), wireless microphone, etc during their frisking. With assistance from Nepal police, the documents were recovered from the hotel 'Mithila Chirayu' in Janakpur. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the mobile phone of Wu Hailong allegedly contained anti-India videos, some of them endorsing Khalistan. Madhubani SP Yogendra Kumar said their primary offence was illegal entry into Indian territory....
