BETTIAH, Oct. 19 -- On a day marked by hectic political activities, Tripura chief minister Manik Saha and Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant had a field day in the Champaran region on Saturday, reminding people of the "jungle raj" in the state during RJD's decade-and-half-year rule in Bihar. Addressing a gathering at Dhaka High School ground in East Champaran, Goa's chief minister, while seeking votes in favour of BJP nominee for Dhaka seat Pawan Jaiswal, Dr Pramod Kumar Sawant took a dig at RJD's first family, questioning Tejshawi Yadav's intention to provide jobs for youths. "Lalu Prasad Yadav's son talks about giving jobs to the youths. How can he do this when he along with his family members are on bail either in fodder scam or land for job case. Can be do this when they grabbed the land of people in exchange for jobs. He can go to jail any time," said the Goa chief minister, referring to the scam in which Lalu Prasad's wife Rabri Devi and son Tejshwi Tadav, besides daughter Misa Bharti have been named as accused. "It was National Democratic Alliance (NDA) that rescued Bihar from jugle rule. The state is now experiencing growth propelled by a double engine government," said Sawant, referring to the formation of government by JD(U), a BJP ally, after the RJD was ousted from power in the state. However, seeking votes in favour of Ram Singh, sitting MLA from Bagaha in West Champaran district, Tripura chief minister Dr. Manik Saha sought to remind the people of, what he said, the prevailing jungle rule in Bihar during Lalu-Rabri regime in the state two decades back....
