Jaipur, June 2 -- The movement of big cats from Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve into the peripheral areas of Sawai Madhopur continues. The forest department team tranquillised a tiger near the Sherpur helipad on Sunday. The operation took around one to one and a half hours of intense effort by the team. After being tranquillised, the tiger was safely released back into the forest, said a forest official. In yet another case of rising tiger incursions into human settlements around Ranthambhore National Park, forest officials on Sunday morning tranquillised a tigress named Arrowhead near the Sherpur helipad. The operation, which began around 6:30 AM, lasted over an hour and involved considerable effort, including the use of a JCB machine and deployment of forest and police personnel to manage the crowd.
