BETTIAH, Sept. 20 -- Three labourers were electrocuted and one was critically injured when they came in contact with electric current at a place in Gopalganj district on Friday. According to the police, the incident occurred when the labourers were engaged in preparing the construction materials in a mixing machine for roof casting of an under-construction house at Lahusi village under Uchagaon police station of Gopalganj district on Friday. "While they were engaged in their work, the mixing machine suddenly got charged with wire passing close by. The electric current aided with water all around caused electric shocks in no time in which three labourers died, while one was injured," said Abhishek Kumar, station house officer (SHO), Uchagaon police station. Deceased have been Nasiruddin Miyan (55), Neeraj Kumar (30) and Baliram Singh (48) - all residents of Trilokpuri in Gopalganj district.
