Three held in Munger with illegal firearms
PATNA, Aug. 5 -- Three arms peddlers, including an ex-army man from Punjab, were arrested in Bihar's Munger late on Sunday, police said. The police also recovered two pistols, 14 live cartridges, four magazines, eight ATM cards, PAN card, driving licence and two cell phones from them. Munger SP Syed Imran Masood said the accused were arrested by a team of Kotwali police station led by SDPO Abhishek Anand, who raided two separate places, including a hotel.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided the hotel premises and first caught two people -Pragat Singh and Manjot Singh--natives of Gurdaspur. Pragat was said to be an ex-army man Masood added.
During interrogation, the arrested accused told police that they had watched a video on social media related to good quality arms available at low price. Following this, they reached Jamalpur by train to buy the weapons....
