JAMSHEDPUR, July 12 -- The 14-year-old female elephant, again suspected to have been injured in a Maoist IED blast near Tirilposi inside Saranda Forests, died during treatment at Manoharpur late Thursday night, taking the elephant death toll in the West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand to three elephants during the past six days, people close to the development said on Friday. Earlier, another 6-year-old baby elephant had died, suspected to have been hit by a Maoist IED blast near Digha village under the Chotanagra PS limits inside Saranda Forests, had succumbed to his injuries during treatment at Jaraikela on July 5 night. On the other hand, the dead body of a 45-year-old fullgrown elephant was found near Serengsia village under the Tonto PS limits in Kolhan Forests, on Thursday morning....
