Dhanbad, Dec. 22 -- Police have arrested three interstate criminals in Dhanbad in connection with the murder of Prem Yadav near Katras More on November 18, officials said on Sunday. The accused, all residents of Bihar's Saran district, were picked up during coordinated raids across Maharashtra and Bihar, and the weapons used in the crime were seized, officials added. Addressing a press conference at his office, City superintendent of police (SP) Ritwik Srivastava said the breakthrough came after a sustained investigation launched following the FIR registered at Pindaraya police station. "Our team worked diligently to trace the accused across state borders and apprehended them along with the weapons used in the crime. The motive behind the murder appears to be a prior dispute between the victim and the assailants," Srivastava said. The arrested accused have been identified as Rohit Kumar Singh, alias Rohit Rajesh; Kunal Kumar, alias Lalan; and Akasha Gaur. Police recovered a pistol, a country-made firearm, live cartridges, and the motorcycle used in the killing. Srivastava added, "The investigation has revealed their previous involvement in criminal activities under the Arms Act. Their arrest is a major step toward ensuring safety and justice in the region."...
