Tejashwi to embark on 'Bihar Adhikar Yatra' from Sept 16
PATNA, Sept. 13 -- Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, will launch a 'Bihar Adhikar Yatra' from September 16 in Jehanabad, aiming to reach voters in central and Kosi districts ahead of the forthcoming assembly elections.
The RJD announced that the five-day tour will start from Jehanabad and cover Nalanda, Patna, Begusarai, Khagaria, Madhepura, Saharsa, Supaul, Samastipur, and Ujiarpur, before concluding in Vaishali on September 20.
State principal general secretary Ranvijay Sahu said all district presidents, MPs, and MLAs of the party have been directed to make arrangements for the tour, including public meetings at various locations.
"The main objective of the yatra is to highlight the step-motherly treatment meted out to Bihar by the Union government, along with key issues such as unemployment, inflation, and voter disenfranchisement. The failures of the NDA government will be highlighted throughout the tour," Sahu added.
Yadav had recently accompanied Rahul Gandhi, leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, on the 1,300 km-long Voter Adhikaar Yatra, which had culminated on September 1.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Yadav had challenged BJP's Samrat Choudhary, who succeeded him as Bihar's deputy chief minister, to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to contest the upcoming assembly polls from his constituency, Raghopur....
