BETTIAH, April 19 -- A middle-aged man died after allegedly consuming spurious liquor in Govindpur Tikaita village under Turkauliya police station area of East Champaran district on Saturday morning, police said. "Banarsi Sah's family alleged that he consumed spurious liquor at night after which his condition deteriorated. He was taken to the Sadar hospital where he was declared brought dead... The body has been sent for post-mortem. The investigation is ongoing based on the family's statement," said Swarn Prabhat, superintendent of police, East Champaran, on a whatsapp group comprising police and media. Motihari sadar's sub divisional police officer Dilip Kumar said, "The cause of death will be ascertained only after FSL and post-mortem reports arrive." "Sah consumed liquor brought by one Bhola Shah. Around midnight, he had bouts of vomiting... He died before reaching the hospital," said Gopi Sah, victim's brother-in-law....
