Speeding car crushes six people, elderly dies, say Police
DANAPUR, Dec. 9 -- An elderly man died and five others were critically injured after being hit by a speeding car on Gola Road under Danapur police station limits on Monday, police said.
According to police, the incident occurred around 5 pm when a four-wheeler, allegedly being driven recklessly, rammed into six pedestrians walking along the roadside. The deceased was identified as 60-year-old Chansi Rai, who was on his way to buy milk. Among the injured is Aman Kumar, a local resident undergoing treatment at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).
"I was walking with my friend Anshu towards the Ram Janaki temple when a speeding car came from the opposite direction and hit us. After that, I started running to save my life. During this, the car crushed several people," Aman said.
