PATNA, Sept. 24 -- Jan Suraaj leader Prashant Kishor's allegations of murder and corruption against many NDA leaders have caused ripples within the major partners of the NDA -- the BJP and JD(U). Days after JD(U) state spokesperson and MLC Neeraj Kumar asked minister Ashok Chowdhary to come clean on Kishor's allegation against him, former Union minister and former Ara BJP MP R K Singh has taken a rebellious stance and demanded clarification from his own party leaders on Kishor's allegations against them. The Jan Suraaj founder Kishor had raised doubts over the educational qualifications of Bihar deputy chief minister Samrat Choudhary, alleging he did not pass the matriculation exam (saying he is only 7th pass) and had alleged that Choudhary was an "expert" in changing names and cited an alleged murder case against him. Kishor also accused Bihar minister Ashok Choudhary of Benami property of over Rs.200 crore. Kishor had also accused BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal of "seizing" the Mata Gujri Devi Medical College in Kishanganj. He claimed that Jaiswal had made relatives of more than 50 politicians, including those of Lalu Prasad, doctors "via admissions without any entrance test" and illegally took over the college. He also targeted state health minister Mangal Pandey and claimed that Rs.2.12 crore was deposited in his wife's bank account between 2019 and 2020 and the minister did not give any account of the amount. "It is very serious. All these leaders should tell how much truth is there in the allegations made against them. This is tarnishing the image of the entire party," said Singh in a TV interview. The former MP specifically demanded that Samrat Choudhary should make his degree public and asked Dilip Jaiswal to clarify that he did not "usurp" the college. Regarding Ashok Choudhary, he said, "Nitish Kumar's minister should answer the allegations of acquiring land worth Rs.200 crore." "If Samrat Chaudhary, Dilip Jaiswal, and Ashok Chaudhary are clean, they should come forward and break their silence," he added and urged CM Nitish to seek answers from them. Singh took a firm stance when his statement was described as rebellion. He said, "If my truthful statements are considered rebellion, then rebellion is justified. The BJP is angry at me for speaking the truth. I'm not worried if anyone will take action against me. I'm only speaking in the party's best interests, and the party's image is at stake." Sidelined after his defeat in Lok Sabha polls, Singh, however, clarified that he has no intention of joining the Jan Suraaj Party. Kishor recently levelled several serious allegations against key NDA leaders at a press conference in Patna. Dy CM Samrat Chaudhary was accused of changing his name, being an accused in the 1998 Sadanand Singh murder case, and getting out of jail by producing a fake age certificate. JD(U) leader Neeraj Kumar posted on X, "CM Shri NitishKumar has redefined politics with his honesty and integrity throughout his 20-year tenure and political career. No one has ever been born who can prove even a single penny of accusation against him. Those who have been accused should respond."...
