Soren makes surprise Ranchi inspection, sans security
Ranchi, Dec. 14 -- Chief minister Hemant Soren on Saturday conducted a surprise inspection of Ranchi without any security detail or prior notice, visiting various areas of the city to assess the ground reality, officials said.
Officials said that during the inspection, the chief minister observed traffic management, pedestrian facilities, cleanliness, the condition of public places, and civic amenities.
"He gave clear instructions to the officials present on the spot to take quick and effective steps to improve the ease of living and mobility for the city's residents," an official said.
Later, the chief minister posted on social media, "Today, I conducted a surprise inspection of Ranchi city. Our government is fully aware of and committed to further improving transportation, civic amenities, and the ease of living in every city of the state. Our resolve is to make every city in the state safe, inclusive, and prosperous, where every citizen is ensured a dignified life with better facilities."
Officials said the chief minister directed that the impact of the schemes should be visible on the ground, not just on paper, and that every section of society should benefit from them.
