Ranchi, Sept. 3 -- Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday, while distributing appointment letters to 975 teachers and felicitating meritorious students, announced to make Netarhat Residential School a co-educational facility and opening three more schools on the same lines.
"Now girls will also be enrolled in this school. Three more schools will be opened in the state on the lines of Netarhat Residential School," Soren said.
He also shared the government's effort to bring government schools at par with standard private schools.
"Netarhat Residential School is now affiliated to CBSE and students here are studying through English medium. The government's effort is that the children studying in government schools should not lag behind the students of private schools in any matter," he said.
He further shared other initiatives to provide quality education in the state-run schools.
"Today is an era of competition. But, due to some or the other deficiency or problem, government schools used to lag behind. But, our government is working to improve them. Only through collective effort will Jharkhand become a leading and strong state," he said.
