PATNA, May 24 -- Six criminals were arrested in a joint operation by the Special Task Force (STF) and Patna police on Thursday night at Nisarpura village under the jurisdiction of Bikram police station. Officials said one of the criminals was injured during the encounter and has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. "Six criminals on two motorcycles were approaching the village. Upon spotting the police, all six suspects tried to flee. While attempting to escape, they opened fire on the police. The police returned fire, injuring Vishal Kumar. All six suspects were arrested,"said City SP (West) Sharat RS. He added that four loaded pistols, two magazines, 24 live cartridges, two mobile phones, and two motorcycles were seized from their possession. Fortunately, no police personnel were injured during the operation. Other arrested criminals have been identified as Ankit Kumar, Jitendra Kumar, Sonu Kumar, Sbhubham alias Reyas, and Ritik Yadav.
