PATNA, May 31 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Vivek Kumar, branch manager of Bihar Gramin Bank, Babhangama Branch in Sitamarhi, and Saurav Kumar, a daily wager employee at the same branch, on charges of demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000. According to the CBI, the arrests were made following a written complaint lodged on May 29, 2025. The complainant alleged that the accused had demanded a bribe for releasing the subsidy amount related to an already sanctioned and disbursed PMEGP loan to the complainant in 2022.
