Bhopal, March 24 -- The Madhya Pradesh BJP legislature party meeting on Monday elected Shivraj Singh Chouhan its leader, paving the way for him to take over as the next chief minister.

With three-time CM elected as the legislature party leader, Chouhan will take over the coveted job for a record fourth time.

State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Vishnu Dutt Sharma indicated the oath-taking ceremony will take place soon after the legislature party meeting. Till the time of going to press, Chouhan was yet to be sworn-in.
