PATNA, July 1 -- A woman has lodged a case against a final year pharmacology PG student of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) with women's police station for sexual assault, cheating and kidnapping.
The woman and student belong to two different communities.
The woman claimed that she visited the concerned police station to lodge a case against the student, however, the police made her move from one police station to another for five days. An FIR was finally lodged at the women's police station under the charges of rape, cheating and kidnapping when the Director General of Police (DGP) attended the Janata Darbar on June 19.
SHO of Women's police station Raja Rajni said, "A woman has lodged a case against the NMCH PG student under various sections of the BNS with women's police station. The woman accused the student from retreating from the marriage after living in a relationship for three years. The police are investigating the matter."
The woman told the police that the accused is a PG student of NMCH and lives in its hostel. "He abused her, forced her to convert adopt different religion. I came in touch with him when I had gone to the NMCH for treatment about three years ago. We exchanged numbers and started meeting with him and he first introduced himself as Sonu and hid his real identity," she said in her complaint
The girl told the police that the student even visited temples and stayed in a rented room. "But was shocked to see his documents that he belonged to a different religion," she said.
ASP Patna City A Jha said that the police did not interrogate him as they would issue notice to him to appear before the police for further investigation....
