MADHUBANI, May 20 -- Unidentified miscreants stole two service rifles from a Home Guard room inside a government office in Madhubani district of Bihar. The incident occurred on the evening of May 17 at Khutauna block office and was confirmed by police on Monday. According to Madhubani SP Yogendra Kumar, state Home Guard jawans deployed at the block office under Khutauna police station had reported that two service rifles were missing from their locked room. He informed that unidentified miscreants had broken the window behind the room to gain entry and made away with the weapons. As soon as Khutauna police received information, they alerted senior officials and rushed to the spot. SDPO of Phulparas, along with senior officials conducted a thorough inspection of the crime scene. "All nearby police stations have been informed. A special team has been constituted to investigate the case and recover the stolen weapons. An FIR has been registered. Six to seven suspected people were interrogated by the police in last one day," the SP said....
