PATNA, Oct. 11 -- The recruitment process for assistant professors in Bihar's depleted state universities, which got underway in 2020, remains incomplete and mired in controversy over one reason or the other. Several successful students in political science subject, whose university-wise result was published in June 26, after interview from June 17-22, 2025 have now written to the Bihar governor, with copy to the CM and education minister, to facilitate their joining, which remains stuck with the department of education even after 3.5 months. "The commission has closed the entire process for political science, but the college allotment and joining instructions from the department of education are still due for around 279 successful candidates, causing anxiety and hardship to them. "We complied with the court order, but two of the four could not turn up, as they communicated that they were out of station and would not be able to make it on such short notice," said BSUSC chairman Girish Choudhary. The interview for the subject was held on October 7-8, while the court order came on October 7. The court has also directed BSUSC to submit the verification report on the research articles submitted by the petitioners in course of interview to the court for consideration. The direction came on a bunch of petitions by candidates, not called for interview on the pretext that their peer reviewed research papers with ISSN No. were not submitted in full. However, the counsel for the petitioners contended that complete journals had been uploaded, but for the reasons unexplained, they were not considered....
