Rlys gets 32 new DRMs, 4 in Bihar
PATNA, July 25 -- The Indian Railway Board on Thursday announced the appointment of 32 senior officers as Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) in various divisions across the country, including four in Bihar and one in Jharkhand.
The transfers were made following the approval of the President and in compliance with the orders of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), officials said.
This major reshuffle is aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the railway administrative system. Official orders in this regard were received at the headquarters of East Central Railway (ECR), South Eastern Railway (SER), and Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) zones on Thursday evening.
Each of the 70 railway divisions is headed by a DRM, and many have been transferred across zones as part of this administrative move.
Vinod Kumar, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) cadre, has been posted as the new Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Danapur, while Aswani Srivastava, an IRTS officer currently on deputation with the Department of Food & Public Distribution, has been appointed as the new DRM of Samastipur.
Similarly, Amit Saran, from the IRSME cadre, has been posted as the DRM of Sonpur division under the East Central Railway (ECR).
In addition, Kirendra Narah, an IRSE officer, has been appointed as DRM of Katihar division under the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) zone, and Karuna Nidhi, an IRTS officer, has been posted as the new DRM of Ranchi division in the South Eastern Railway (SER) zone....
