PATNA, July 29 -- Wife of gangster-turned politician and RJD MLA from Danapur, Ritlal Yadav, faces trouble for running businessman with her husband while being a school teacher in Patna. It might spell trouble for Yadav as state elections are approaching. In a letter to additional chief secretary (education) S Siddharth, ADG (headquarters) Kundan Krishnan has sought action against Rinku Kumari. "Rinku Kumari has been found to be working as partner in a firm named Vijay Constructions since November 11, 2017 and has been actively doing business, though she remains in the government service as a primary school teacher. This is in violation of the Government Servant Conduct Rules, 1976 and Bihar government's 2024 notification for code of conduct," he wrote. Rinku Kumari is posted at Primary School in Kothwan in Danapur sub-division. "This is to request for inquiry into the matter for disciplinary and administrative action," Krishnan writes. In the letter, the police headquarter mentioned that during the investigation review of FIR No-461/2024, the police found evidence against Rinku, who is working as a contractual teacher, engaged as partner of Vijay Construction and in business with the firm. On December 19, 2024, a police team led by the then assistant superintendent of police (ASP), Bhanu Pratap, had raided Kothwan village of RJD MLA and recovered three DBBL guns, 15 live cartridges, back dated non-judicial stamp papers, financial related documents, land papers, four black helmets, AIIMS security guards badges, extortion related papers, currency counting machine, Rs.11.50 lakh cash and checkbooks, statement forms, blank cheque books, account ledger and account description of Vijay Construction. A senior police officer said that Ritlal was involved in construction, real estate business and has floated several firms for this. "It is suspected that his wife is a partner in most of the business through forms, which she cannot do being the government servant," he added. Investigation revealed that Ritlal amassed huge assets including lands, plots and flats in Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand. Ritlal, his brother Pinku Yadav, brother-in-law Shailendra alias Chiku Yadav was shifted from Patna's Beur Model Jail to Bhagalpur Central jail a few months ago due to his enormous clout to run his syndicate even from behind the bars. The investigation so far has pointed to Ritlal's clout in the real estate business as well as Railway contracts in the Khagaul, Danapur, Shahpur, Rupaspur and Bihta police station area and threats issued to builders from his associates for extortion of big amounts. "The builders doing construction work in the Khagaul Nagar Parishad area are mostly the target and they are prevented from work if they fail to follow the diktats. There is allegedly a fixed rate for everything," said a senior police officer. "In the disproportionate assets case, the Patna police has been initiated against Ritlal and his brother and a proposal will be send to police headquarters under the PMLA act while a proposal already send to property confiscation against Chiku Yadav under the 107 of BNSS act," said city SP (West) Bhanu Pratap Singh....
