PATNA, July 29 -- An FIR was lodge against against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA from Maner Bhai Virendra on Monday, after a audio clip of him allegedly threatening the panchayat secretary Sandeep Kumar went viral on social media. The FIR was registered at a SC/ST police station as panchayat secretary belongs to SC category. Kumar alleged that Virendra threatened him and MLA used abusive language, including words like "juta" (shoe) and "marne" (to hit), which deeply hurt him. "MLA Bhai Virendra demanded information regarding death certificates, which are currently under process," he alleged in the FIR. The panchayat secretary, in his FIR, said, "I was on duty when at around 5.30 PM, I received a threatening phone call from the MLA who ended the call with a chilling warning --'Don't stay here, something else could happen'." Kumar took it as a threat to his life. He said, "Now he might kill me or do something else, only he knows, but I am scared after this phone call." He has verbally informed the District Magistrate (DM) about the incident. SHO of SC/ST police station Rajkumar said that an FIR was lodged and an investigation into the complaint had started. Reacting to the FIR, MLA Bhai Virendra said, "I have not made any mistake. We do grass root politics and are easily available among the public. I have not used any foul language or abuse. I had raised questions about public work. After the death of a woman's husband, she was not being given a death certificate, which was raised."...
