rjd making Bihar women apply for a scheme that exists only in promise: JD(U)
PATNA, Sept. 6 -- Bihar parliamentary affairs minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary on Friday hit out at the Opposition alliance in Bihar, especially the RJD, for trying to hoodwink innocent women by making them fill forms for "non-existent Mai Bahin Yojana" in an organised way.
"The RJD workers are trying to lure simple rural women by telling them to fill the forms for the scheme, the fate of which is unknown, in a clear case of forgery. They want to take the women for a ride, but they cannot succeed as women now are an enlightened lot," he added.
Choudhary said that the Bihar people were well aware of 'hoax schemes', as Nitish Kumar had given them the taste of real schemes by walking the talk every time, not just promising.
"The people know that any scheme requires prior sanction of the government. After that, the concerned departments lays down a defined procedure for implementation. Then comes the stage of application in prescribed format to avail the benefits to deserving ones," he added.
The JD(U) minister said that it was sheer cheating by making them fill forms for a misleading scheme that has no sanction and remains on a party's paper only
"Unfortunately, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is yet to understand that Bihar has transformed since 2005 and a slew of effective schemes launched by CM Nitish Kumar made them empowered to differentiate fake and real," he added.
Choudhary said that the unmatched popularity of the CM among women due to his development and welfare initiatives for them has unnerved the RJD and its allies so much that they were resorting to unethical ways. "Nitish Kumar commands respect not because of loft promises, but due to his ability to deliver and that sets him apart from the rest. The fact is that the Opposition is getting desperate with each passing day and is trying to deceive women through unscrupulous and shady ways, but the confident and self-assured women will not fall in their trap," he added....
