PATNA, Sept. 2 -- The 'Voter Adhikaar Yatra' of the Congress in Patna is over, but it has left some food for thought for the RJD supporters, who were struck by the conspicuous absence of party's flags and banners at Gandhi Maidan, the venue from where the journey started. The entire place was full of banners, cutouts and posters of Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Bihar Congress president Rajesh Kumar Ram. The banners of Vikashsheel Insaan Party (VIP) of Mukesh Sahni were also visible at Gandhi Maidan, but there was no place for RJD leaders like Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and Lalu Prasad, and the RJD workers noticed it. "RJD is the main party, but it seems to have either distanced itself from the Congress show or did not find room. Lalu Prasad's poster was visible only at one place. Strangely, the crowd comprised mostly of RJD and Left parties," said another visibly disappointed RJD worker. Congress workers admitted that in Bihar the party would need to do a lot of hard work to convince the masses. "Occasional appearance will not do. In Bihar, grassroots support is what matters," they added. RJD leader Fateh Bahadur said Tejashwi Yadav remained in the driving seat in Bihar and chairman of the coordination committee of the INDIA bloc. "There is no question of any distances. Our party is firmly rooted. Our leaders are Tejashwi and Lalu Prasad and our job is to take their message to the masses," he added. Another leader, however, said they never got instruction to place banners and cutouts, else the entire city would have turned green, leaving no space for others. VIP supporters were enthusiastic and vowed to extend Nishads' whole-hearted backing to Mukesh Sahni. The Left supporters carrying their flags said it was their identity....
