SASARAM, Aug. 18 -- Though Grand Alliance presented a united face during Rahul Gandhi's rally, launching his Voter Adhikar Yatra here, it was more a Congress show with the party taking centre stage right from planning to arrangements. The grand old party has appointed district coordinators through whom the Yatra is to move in adjoining districts. "They are looking after the selection of rally point, administrative permissions and arrangements for bringing the crowd and their safe return. Separate district level teams have been formed under experienced leaders to manage the things on-route," a party leader said on anonymity. Senior leaders like party's state in-charge Krishna Allavaru, state president Rajesh Ram, ex-president Akhilesh Prasad Singh are constantly monitoring. Special media coverage of the Yatra is being taken care of by All India Congress Committee (AICC) media in-charge Sandeep Singh . The party was also working to pull crowd at their level and its effect was seen in the presence of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and leader of Opposition in state Assembly Tejashwi Yadav on the stage on Sunday. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge lauded the hard work of father-son duo to make Bihar free from 'deaf and dumb government," said Aklu Ram, RJD Kaimur district president. But an awkward situation on Saturday indicated towards miscommunication between the big partners. Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Sudhakar Singh lashed out at the Rohtas district administration, accusing them of not giving approval for Rahul's rally and helipad. "This is a crusade against the Election Commission to safeguard voting right of poor people. But these people (officials) do not want the movement and march to be started from here under their attempt to play with the ruling party," Singh alleged. At the same time, Congress MLA Santosh Kumar Mishra, responsible for the permission, refuted the statements of Sudhakar Singh and said the permission had been granted and there was no problem....
