PATNA, May 13 -- Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is likely to visit Bihar again on May 15. He is expected to address party workers at Darbhanga and Patna and exhort them to sensitise the people about need to safeguard the Constitution and also think about ways that would ensure a transparent and authentic caste census whenever it is conducted. Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) president Rajesh Kumar, however, refrained from divulging details of Rahul Gandhi's itinerary, saying that minutes of his meetings would be shared later. A senior BPCC leader said that details of Rahul's tour programme have not been finalised yet. "However, it is clear that Rahul Gandhi will interact with party workers in Darbhanga and Patna," said the leader, adding that it would be the fourth visit of Rahul Gandhi in the past five months. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had addressed the gatherings of social workers on January 18, February 4 and April 7 on the issue of safeguarding the Constitution. He also visited Begusarai and participated in the party sponsored 'Palayan Roko, Naukari Do' yatra. Party leaders said that Rahul Gandhi has intensified his tour to Bihar particularly in view of the upcoming assembly elections in the state, due in October-November. More than 300 party workers and leaders from across the country have already poured in and fanned out in different parts of the state to campaign from the party. BPCC president Rajesh Kumar on Monday released the QR code for those seeking to contest assembly elections on party symbols. The QR code, Kumar said, is mandatory for all applicants and for all 243 assembly constituencies. Releasing the QR code at a function at Sadaquat Ashram, the BPCC chief said that the mechanism has been adopted to bring in transparency and authenticity in the selection process of the candidates. To a query as to why the party has opened the process for all seats, even though it had decided to contest the elections under the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), comprising RJD and Left parties, Kumar said that the party would field its candidates only on allotted seats under the alliance and the rest of prospective candidates would support the allies on different seats.....
