PURNEA, March 21 -- The decomposed body of an 18-year-old girl was found in the early hours of Friday, 10 days after she had gone missing from her house located under Dagarua police station. The deceased was a student of Class 10. The body was found three kilometers away from her house. One accused has been arrested, while a manhunt has been carried out to three others. The family members have alleged that she was brutally killed after being gang raped. The villagers have accused police of remaining insensitive. Hundreds of the irate villagers blocked the National Highway-31 near Dagarua for over four hours to protest the incident and it was lifted after top police officials intervened and assured them of stringent punishment to the accused. Purnea superintendent of police (SP) Sweety Sahrawat in a press release issued said, "The accused 20-year-old Sachin Kumar was in contact with the girl for four months and talked over phone. On March 11, the girl along with Sachin and his friends went to a fair and later the girl was raped by him in a shop."...
