PATNA, May 30 -- One of the key projects Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay Foundation stone for during his Bihar visit is the Hardinge Park terminal platform, an extension of Patna Junction to decongest the railway station. This is said to be an additional project that the PM would unveil in his package of reported Rs.50,000 crore schemes or projects for Bihar lined up for his visit. Besides, he will also dedicate to the Nation the third line between Sone Nagar and automatic signalling between Mohammadganj and Sasaram and Anugrah Narayan Road. At Patna's Hardinge Park, there will be provision of five additional platforms to decongest Patna Junction and increase capacity, besides reducing commuting time from platform to main road. The new terminal will cost Rs.95 crore and help in between train scheduling and turnaround to increase efficiency... it will offer state-of-the-art facility....
