PATNA, May 29 -- After his road shows in different cities of Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins his two-day tour of Bihar with a four-km-long roadshow from airport to BJP state headquarters on Thursday evening. Soon after his arrival, he is scheduled to inaugurate the new terminal building of Jayprakash Narayan International (JPNI) airport, Patna and lay the foundation stone for a new airport in Bihta, located on the city's outskirts. This would be PM's second roadshow in state capital in two years. During the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, on May 12, the PM along with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a roadshow in Patna ahead of fourth phase Lok Sabha elections. This would be incidentally, PM's second visit to state party office situated at Beerchand Patel Marg, as well. "PM will arrive at Patna airport around 5 pm on May 29 and after inaugurating the new terminal building, he would hold a roadshow that will terminate at party office. In the party office, he will spend an hour or so and hold two meeting, one with state core committee and another withh party MLAs, MPs and office-bearers," said BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal. "The meeting at party office, ahead of assembly polls holds significance as the PM is likely to discuss election preparedness and give mantra for victory," said BJP's spokesperson Prem Ranjan Patel.
